Long overdue review, words can’t describe how impressed we were with the level of professionalism and care Twelve Penny put into helping us navigate the process of replacing the windows at our house. I’m a firm believer that success within a business starts at the top and this couldn’t be truer based on our experience.
From our first meeting with Paul down to the thoughtfulness and compassion demonstrated by the guys in the field its hard finding the words to describe how happy we were with Twelve Penny.
Putting aside the great craftmanship demonstrated by Brad in the field he demonstrated a gesture of kindness that was extremely heartwarming and impressive.
Last spring a bird had built a nest on my son’s windowsill (he is 8 years old). Early spring he noticed the nest as the sound of baby bird chirping woke him up and he was beaming with excitement. Trying to set expectations I explained that once the birds leave, we should take the nest down as it most likely wouldn’t get used again. A few weeks later the nest was occupied by a second round of eggs, babies, and excitement. Time went on and I completely forgot about the nest.
Mid December we start the project, my son came home from school, shot upstairs, and came down in tears devastated that the birds nets was not there. We tell him that its ok and we will figure out how to hang a bird house from a tree and we moved on.
The next morning he was standing at the window and as soon as Brad pulled into the driveway he ran outside and started talking to Brad. Not thinking anything of it I got him off to school and went on with the day.
Later that afternoon when he got home, he shot upstairs and was jumping up and down excited as if it was Christmas morning. He dragged me upstairs to show me that a shelf was built outside of his window and the birds nets was sitting on it.
The level of care put into the craftmanship and carpentry was impressive enough for a great review, the level of thoughtfulness and kindheartedness demonstrated by the workers in the field was something truly heartwarming and amazing.

We just had the two entry doors and a bay window installed by 12 Penny Exteriors and couldn’t be happier.
Paul was very patient with us as we went through the initial process to get exactly what we wanted.
I have been in construction for 46 years and couldn’t be more impressed with Brad who installed them. It’s great to see someone who cares about the quality of his work and keeping the customer informed and happy. My wife was very impressed how clean he kept the house while performing his work.
